Nonna made Red Beans & Rice in both the instant pot (AKA R2D2) and via the open burner in a traditional cooking pot. Watch the video to see the results! Nonna, as always, used her favorite spices and leftovers from previous cooking endeavors. Specially, she saved the ham bone from Easter Dinner and used that to add flavor to this meal.

Stuffed Cabbage

Nonna Snowden made her Aunt Annette’s delicious stuffed cabbage recipe. The recipe originated in Hungary and has a new and tasty spice mixed in with some of Nonna’s tried and true favorites! Nonna turned this dish into a blend mixing a pinch of Aunt Annette’s Hungarian cooking, a smidge of Nonna’s Italian cooking, and ” ’bout dat much” good ol’ fashion cajun zing! Not only will the kids loves this dish, but it is easily turned into a low carb dinner!

Instant Pot – Pork Chops

Following a long day at work, Nonna quickly threw together a nice pork chop and salad dinner. Watch Nonna continue to learn the instant pot’s ins and outs, this time using the “sauté” function to quickly brown the pork chops before cooking. Nonna complimented her favorite spices and seasonings with a dijon mustard coating on the pork chops and a little dijon mustard her “quick fix” vinaigrette dressing.

Not wanting to disappoint and leave our viewers completely without, Nonna cooked up an after work quick, easy, and tasty meal. She cooked pork chops in the instant pot and added a nutritious green salad with her “quick fix vinaigrette.” Using her favorite spices and some dijon mustard, these pork chops bring a new flavor and some variety to Nonna Snowden Cooks’ repertoire .
