Asian Carp Cakes

This recipe is a favorite of Miss Mickey’s husband (remember Miss Mickey was the guest cook on the Plum Tart video). It is simply delicious. Nonna made a few minor changes. For instance, she substituted crab meat with Asian Carp. Asian Carp has a nice texture and a good taste (not fishy). The only problem is that the carp has a lot of bones. However, once you learn how to remove/grind the bones the fish is delicious. Check out how Nonna makes a delicious Asian Carp Cake!

BBQ Sauce & Chicken Quarters (Appliance Wars: Episode 3)

Nonna is learning from experience and Appliance Wars: Episode 3 saw the best and most consistent results across appliances. Nonna cooked 4 chicken quarters each in the oven, instant pot, and air fryer. She even tried her hand at her own BBQ sauce, using, of course, her favorite spices & seasonings. Watch the video to see the results and if you have something you would like Nonna to experiment with, just let her know. She is all about trying new things, even when she has to try it a second or third time around!
