Oma’s Chocolate Chip Cookies

Nonna’s Mom, known as Oma to her grandchildren, made this recipe with her grandchildren and now with her great grandchildren. Oma got this recipe from the NESTLÉ TOLL HOUSE Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels package. Like Nonna, Oma, isn’t all that skilled at following recipes and as a result made a few minor modifications. The recipe is simple, easy, and without a doubt the most fun to bake when your grandchildren are running a muck in your house! Both Oma and Nonna hope you enjoy baking these cookies with your grandchildren!

Glazed Ham, Scalloped Potatoes, and Prosciutto Wrapped Asparagus

Nonna cooked an amazing Easter Dinner. However, this meal isn’t just for Easter. It is a perfect meal for anytime you have a large family get together. The meal is honey glazed hame, with scalloped potatoes, and prosciutto wrapped asparagus. The asparagus is an excellent keto friendly snack or side dish.

Chicken Pot Pie

Nonna made a delicious, super easy recipe for Chicken Pot Pie using the Instant Pot. As always, Nonna’s recipe is easily modified. You can use turkey, beef, pork, or
another meat as you see fit. Just season and cook with the vegetables in the instant pot.
In fact, change up the vegetables and seasonings as you see fit. The key to this recipe is
to thicken the broth using a white sauce, everything else is interchangeable!

Crawfish Étouffée

Nonna Snowden cooks Crawfish Étouffée using crawfish tails, onion, and garlic from her crawfish boil a few week ago. She started with a blond roux, added her favorite spices, and some traditional vegetables to complete this Cajun/Southern dish. For those who want a low carb dish, Nonna shows you how to cook cauliflower rice.

Stuffed Cabbage

Nonna Snowden made her Aunt Annette’s delicious stuffed cabbage recipe. The recipe originated in Hungary and has a new and tasty spice mixed in with some of Nonna’s tried and true favorites! Nonna turned this dish into a blend mixing a pinch of Aunt Annette’s Hungarian cooking, a smidge of Nonna’s Italian cooking, and ” ’bout dat much” good ol’ fashion cajun zing! Not only will the kids loves this dish, but it is easily turned into a low carb dinner!

COW’S HEAD BARBACOA

Nonna Snowden and guest cook, Maw Maw Gwen, put together this “How to” video which features cow head barbacoa. After cooked, they chopped the cheek meat, cow’s tongue, and other meat to make a fantastic taco dinner. Instant Pot – Pork Chops

Following a long day at work, Nonna quickly threw together a nice pork chop and salad dinner. Watch Nonna continue to learn the instant pot’s ins and outs, this time using the “sauté” function to quickly brown the pork chops before cooking. Nonna complimented her favorite spices and seasonings with a dijon mustard coating on the pork chops and a little dijon mustard her “quick fix” vinaigrette dressing.
